As Bungler on EZBoard points out, this challenge "looks like" a
challenge from a previous season.
That would be the "Matchmaker" challenge from Survivor 6: Amazon
-- each castaway is given a station with five
personal hygiene items placed inside the podium.
Using their memory, one at a time, the players ask
the others if they have that corresponding item. The
tribe that matches the most items wins. (It's Go
Fish!)
Notice the box from Survivor 6 (left) and this
week's episode (right).
(Left): Daniel walks up to Shawna and acts like a
dumb-ass. (Right): The Jabaru women win.
(Below): some shots of the "after-party" from that
challenge.

Of course this
time, the sexual tension surrounds tribemates: 1)
Robfather and Amber; 2) Colby and Richard (with
jealous host Jeff Probst in the middle of the
triangle). So it probably won't be as exciting.
Then again, the challenge might be totally different.
We thought the Episode 3 reward challenge was the ol'
SOS Signal. It ended up being a lame
attempt at Survivor becoming a money whore -- giving
mass advertising to Home Depot -- and then a Chapera
whore (no, NOT AMBER) -- handing the challenge to
construction worker RobFather. True, we got the
winner correct, but that just means we're not
perfect.
So who wins? The two above pics don't tell us much.
But we see below, a couple is bathing...
Plus, look at Amber's nice smooth hair at the
Immunity challenge, below:
Chapera also has Rob C, the only Survivor
who played a similar challenge in Amazon.
So we'll go with Chapera winning right now.
This
looks like a combination of challenges from Survivor
2: Australia (Blind leading the blind), Survivor 4:
Marquesas (Tiki Towers) and Survivor 5: Thailand
(Cube Crisis).
S2 Blind leading the blind: The tribes will
select one member of each team to act as their
"eyes" while the other members are blindfolded.
Sitting atop two towers, the "eyes" must guide their
blindfolded tribemembers through a series of
obstacles, such as: stacking wooden beams and
filling up buckets of water. The first tribe to
successfully complete the course wins. (Kucha won).
S4 Tiki towers: Survivors race to assemble a set
of tikis. Each tribe must pick a "Caller" as the
rest of the tribe is blindfolded. The caller directs
his/her tribe to the segments of tikis scattered
about. (Maramuu won.)
S5 Cube crisis: Tied to the wrist of their
loved one from home, each Survivor and family member
must assemble a cube puzzle. First pair to
successfully complete the puzzle wins. (Ted and his
brother won.)
We have towers and squares (left) and cubes
(right) to put in the squares.
How do we know this is for immunity? Well, Jeffy is standing next to the immunity idol (on
stand, right). Oh, and the CBS press release states
that "During the immunity challenge, several
castaways are pummeled and knocked off their feet.
Another observation: Johnny the King at MESS points
out that Saboga has three pieces compared to one for
Chapera. Saboga has an early lead.
(Above): Tom is about to get it, as Rob, Amber and Shii
Ann (sitting out, left) watch. On the right is a pic
of Probst as he describes Tom getting hit, and as
SamBuru points out on EZ Board, Saboga has more
of its puzzle complete.
Other info: We're pretty sure
that Richard is calling from the towers for Mogo
Mogo, Jenna or Jerri for Saboga, and Sue or Alicia
for Chapera.
So who wins? We're pretty sure Saboga doesn't
lose, after Rudy accidentally gave a spoiler
away, hinting that Saboga "does fine" in the next
few weeks after his boot.
Tom getting knocked over
is bad news, and there are shots of Rob C. and Amber gasping
in agony. Plus, we think this pic of Rob C (below,
with hat) is after Chapera loses the challenge.
BOOT: Rob C?
Susan? Richard?
So, we're 3-for-3 on boot picks. Let's make it
4-for-4! We likely have two options and three
possible boots:
1) Chapera goes to tribal council: In
the episodes and
Insiders thus far, we've seen a strong
Robfather/Amber alliance shown. We have also seen
negative editing of Rob C. and Sue.
-- Robfather and Alicia called Rob C. "lazy."
-- Meanwhile, Susan has been in seclusion, and
when she does come out, she yells and pisses her
tribe off.
-- But the biggest hint at what might happen comes
from the
Ep. 2 transcript. Rob C. doesn't like the
Robfather/Amber alliance, and might try to break
it up. CBS hints that "Deception, revenge
and confusion fuel the chaos at losing tribe camp
as they prepare for tribal council."
Rob C. fails to deceit, and Robfather will
almost certainly get his revenge. Cesternino
could be swimming with fishes?
- The so-called "source" spoilers also point to a Rob C.
boot as well. See our
STS.
2) If Mogo Mogo goes
to tribal council:
The boot seems easy.
Richard, no matter how many sharks he
bites, is a serious threat. Shii Ann is pretty
useless in challenges, but we think she goes
pretty far. Colby's strength may make him a
Burton-esque boot, but he has small, separate
alliances with Lex and Rich that should save him.
Our pick (for
now): As
Rob C. says in the preview, "Rob and Amber are
going to do it." Unfortunately, the "it" is
booting Rob C. out of the game. Go back to
dreaming about Heidi, C-man.
