CBS misdirection

-- A nervous castaway keeps failing miserably when trying to be useful to the tribe.

-- A female castaway is vexed by several male tribemates when she tries to show them how to make fire.

-- Despite being veterans of the game, a trip to Tribal Council is never easy. Who will be the next All-Star to fall?
REWARD CHALLENGE: Build a staircase (Mogo Mogo wins?)
In this challenge it appears the tribes have to swim out and collect rungs to build a ladder. Each person grabs one rung. First team to the top wins a reward; similar challenges took place in Africa and Thailand.

Most likely, only one team earns a reward. But figuring out which one wins is tough.

Going for Saboga are the pics of Jerri and Jenna embracing along with the celebration pic of Rupert. But we think that both of these happen at camp when Saboga finally makes fire.

In the picture of Amber yelling, Mogo Mogo and Saboga look tied. But Amber is yelling to her team, "They're catching up." (Note: it sounds more like "they're" than "you're"). So Chapera might be in the lead at this point. Also notice Jenna's black bathing suit.

Rupert (left) is excited Saboga gets fire. Otherwise we have vidcaps of Ethan (Saboga), Rob and Amber (Chapera, right), and Rich (Mogo Mogo) looking down, though we have no clue when they're from.
Our best guess is that the Rob and Amber pic is from the reward challenge -- bad for Chapera.

We also have a pic of Shii Ann being consoled by Jenna M., who is sitting the challenge out. But it appears that this might be during the challenge after Shii has already made her run at one of the rungs in the water. Then again, there is a strange box at Mogo Mogo camp next to Jenna (right). So, right now, we'll go with Mogo Mogo winning.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: Submerged boat (Chapera first, Mogo Mogo second?)
This challenge is almost identical to the Survivor Marquesas challenge Do or Dive. Each tribe must dive below the surface and remove heavy rocks weighing down a sunken rowboat. Once the rocks are removed and the boat surfaces, they must tow it to a dock where buckets await them to bail out the water. From there, they can row it to shore and the finish line.

The Survivors race out to their boats (left) and Jenna L (right) starts diving for rocks.
Notice Jenna's black swimsuit.

Chapera (left), with Alicia sitting out, has their boat free. Saboga (right) appears to be off course.
They are behind Chapera (see Red dock at right) and near Mogo Mogo's green dock.

Meanwhile, Mogo Mogo (left) looks like it's in trouble with a submerged boat, but it might still be ahead of Saboga. Rudy (right) is struggling and doesn't have a rung, so it's probably not RC. Is this at the end of the immunity challenge when Saboga loses?

Two celebration shots. Shii Ann (Mogo Mogo) who sits out the immunity challenge is excited.
Jerri hugs Jenna L, but Jenna is not wearing her black swimsuit, so this isn't IC nor RC.

BOOT: Rudy.

Well Tina was an easy one, let's see if we can make it 2-for-2.

Already in the promo we see Rudy struggling. Colleenlover's Patagonia spoiler about seeing Tina, Rudy and Rob C in Argentina as pre-Jury boots already has one victim, and Tina backed up her horseback riding claim in her webchat. Rudy looks weak -- and he can certainly star in the next adaptation of "Don't Drink the Water." Plus, if Saboga loses a second-straight challenge, why wouldn't they boot their weakest member? This would fit with Sleek28's boot list as well.

Jeff Probst gave us some key information in a radio interview this week. He says Rudy hurts his ankle and "slows down." That's bad news for cranky old guys. Rudy was almost booted early on in the first Survivor. This time around, his opponents finish off the job.
