--After a fight, one
castaway declares regret for ever having made an alliance with a
tribemate.
(Rupert is obviously distressed over being friends with
perky annoyance (errr Jenna), but I doubt he'll do anything about it.)
-- To enjoy an overnight visit with their loved
ones, the All-Stars are forced to watch their loved ones battle each
other in the Reward Challenge.
(Oh boy, it's the Thailand challenge all over again. The only good
part about that was Brian's hot wife running away at the first sign of
a bug. HILARIOUS!)
-- It's no holds barred as one All-Star calls out
another for being the bossiest member of Chaboga Mogo. (Probably
Jenna. She barks out orders everywhere. Gosh, I hope she doesn't win.)
-- A tough struggle for individual Immunity comes down to a close
finish. Who will be safe this week? (Another
boring regurgitated challenge ends with someone other than Shii Ann
winning.)
REWARD CHALLENGE: Family visit/gross-food. (Tom/Bucky team wins?)
The title of the episode, "A Chapera surprise" is
likely the surprise of the castaways of visiting
Chapera island to see their family members.
The challenge looks very much like the Survivor 5:
Thailand family ones challenge.
Thailand episode 11 flashback: In this
Challenge, the Survivors' loved ones test their
ability to stomach ancient Thai delicacies. If a
loved one cannot finish, or chooses not to eat, they
are eliminated. The final round consists of an
eating race: first person to completely swallow both
a boiled tarantula and a scorpion wins. Winner Gets:
24 hours with a loved one from home
Winner: Helen Glover's husband Jim
(Left): Batty Granny Janny's son, Clay's wife,
Jake's wife, Brian's wife, Ted's brother and Helen's
husband are ready to square off.
(Right): C.C. (center) is about ready to run away at
the sight of eating a bug. She later takes it out
on Brian by
beating the crap out of him back at home as
Smoking Gun reports.
Food, any type of food, is never a challenge for Jim
Glover, who set the record for biggest Survivor boobs (just
beating out Sarah from Survivor Marquesas).
Who are two biggest sluts in Survivor history? Alex
and Jenna both get it right! Why are we putting this
picture in again this week? Because we like it!
Now,
to this week's challenge. The winning family member
gets to spend a night with their loved one at an
offshore hotel.
(Left):
Amber greets her mother at the challenge. (Right):
Amber's mom, Rob's brother, Tom's son, Jenna's
brother and Rupert's wife compete.
Jenna's
brother and Shii Ann's mom are in trouble.
(Left):
Jeff Probst yells, "You're out! You're out!" Kind of
like the Yankees this past weekend.
(Right): Jenna's hair looks especially nice. They
have no more herbal essence. But is this
pre-challenge?
Bucky and
Tom are doing a little jig. Looks like the farmboys
know how to eat bugs.
So who wins?
-- Despite Amber's ability to put large things in
her mouth, we doubt her mom will win.
-- We have pictures of Rupert looking down, Jenna's
brother and Shii Ann's mother struggling.
-- Rob struggled in Marquesas and lost to Neleh in
the gross food challenge. His brother likely won't
win this time either.
-- The only thing that negates a Tom victory is that
we have no pics that would hint at him spending a
night at a hotel (cleaner, showered, better hair,
new clothes). Then again, does Tom take showers and
wear more than one WalMart outfit while at home?
Check out how fast Bucky eats at the
challenge by clicking on the
animated.gif. Thanks to Sam Buru for the pic.
We'll go with a
Tom win for now.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: Light my fire (Rupert wins?)
The
immunity challenge harkens back to Survivor 2
episode 10.
Survivor Australia Episode 10 flashback:
Challenge: FIRE & RAIN. Each Survivor is given a
T-shaped "fire scale." On one side is a fire pan, on
the other a bucket with a small hole in the bottom.
The Survivors must light a fire in the fire pan,
then, using a small bucket, race to the river to
finally fill the larger bucket on the opposite side
of the fire scale. The weight of the water in the
bucket will lift the fire pan into the air and
ignite a fuse. The first person to ignite their fuse
wins. Winner: Colby Donaldson ).

Back to another boring season ...
All-Stars!
This challenge set-up looks identical to the
Australian one. Everyone has their own color bucket.
From left to right, we can guess that ...
Shii Ann (Green)
Tom (Blue) Jenna (Red)
Rupert (Yellow)
Rob (Black)
Amber (Tan)
Here's a handy graphic that Survivor Phoenix has
made!
Each Survivor must gather wood and build a fire.
Then get water to pour in their big bucket and raise
the fire to light the torch.
Rob is pouring water with black bucket as Rupert is in background.
Rob is gathering firewood, but pounds the ground in
disgust (is he behind or did he just lose?)
Jenna getting firewood set up. Rupert carrying
yellow pail to fetch some water.
Shii Ann has smoke, but she has no fire (like in the
red bowl at the right)
(Left): Tom has some leaking, but another appears to
be leaking more? Rupert's?
(Right): Tom (celebrates?) by throwing the water on
himself.
So who wins?
--
Looks like Tom is featured celebrating, though he
might just throw the water after losing to be
"crazy." --- Nevertheless, the red bowl of fire would
match Jenna's colors, but we just don't see her
winning (ever). -- Rupert seems to be flying through
the challenge, so it might be him, too.
But Garbotalk on EZBoard swears that the fire
burning in the bowl is near Rupert's station and
that the water leaking from his pail makes him
believe Rupert is ahead, because more water is in
his bucket.
These pics show smoky frowns. Looks like Tom and
Shii don't win.
Let's go with Rupert for now.
BOOT:
Shii Ann.
This one
is easy.
Everyone
on the tribe can't stand her. So if she doesn't win
immunity, she's gone. Last week, we received a tip
that SHII ANN did in fact win immunity. This
week, we KNOW she doesn't win immunity. That means
she's probably out of here. There's little chance
for her to make a deal, she's already revealed the
stubbornness of the old Chaperans. Those stupid,
stupid players! She had a great comeback last week.
This time, not so lucky. At least she can be happy
with the fact that she outlasted Alicia, both in a
rolling log challenge (twice), an immunity challenge
and the game. We'll miss you, Shii-Devil!
PREDICTION:
SHII ANN'S quotes have been good, but not
spectacular. Let's hope she goes out with a bang
this week.

SurvivorMeter for more
information.
QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Biggest challenge win ever?
Shii
Ann won a huge immunity last week, but it wasn't
the least-likely victory or most important victory
in Survivor history. So what is the biggest
"victory" in Survivor history?
1)
Keith (Survivor 2: Australia): His immunity win in
the merge episode guaranteed Kucha would vote for
Colby and when Colby won the tie-breaker over Jeff
Varner, Kucha was toast. Ogakor, or at least Tina,
Colby and Keith, controlled the rest of the game.
2) MamaKim (Survivor 3: Africa): Her immunity win
at Final Four in the Fallen Comrades challenge
screwed over the Tom-Ethan-Lex alliance. Tom got
booted, Lex lost because of a faulty question, and
MamaKim, who looked 145 at that point, ended up
beating pretty boy Ethan and Mr. gut at the F3
immunity challenge. It made for the worst final
two, and worst jury vote in history.
3) Chapera (Survivor All Stars): Their victory in
episode 7 earned the biggest rewards ever --
immunity, steal a tribemate, a yacht cruise, a
feast, a dessert feast, a swim in a waterfall, and
Rob, the golf state champion, falling on his ass
swinging a golf club.
Last week's
name Rob and Amber's song brought
numerous responses.
Here's FIRST PLACE and runner-up: (They both won
INCREDIBLE prizes)***
FIRST PLACE Disney's Lion King's infamous "I’ve got a
lovely bunch of coconuts" (Though I think
Sarah's are better than Amber's). Click
here for a clip.
-- Carrie from Texas
RUNNER-UP "Who will the Next Fool Be" by Charlie Rich
and covered by Elvis and Sheryl Crow. (Perfect for
what's going on at Chapera.)
-- Joseph Lucas
HONORABLE MENTION
We heard some horrible singers like Barbara
Streisand (HELP!) and Frank Zappa (UGH!). Here are
four other GOOD choices.
1) Considering how Rob thought that he had Lost
Amber, and was so happy to have her back after the
merge, how about Elton John's "The Bitch is Back"
-- Paul Canaday
2) Joe's Garage "Why does it hurt when I Pee?"
-- JanitorJude
3) Elizabeth Bellant goes the sappy route by
suggesting "Endless Love" by Diana Ross and Lionel
Ritchie? "When I see their sappy discussions of
each other, I get the same nauseous feeling I used
to get when that song came on the radio."
4) Lionel Ritchie's "Easy Like Sunday Morning"
-- Claude
