--Feeling extremely vulnerable, Shii Ann vows to win
immunity. (Shii Ann win immunity? Ha! Yeah
right! Uhhhh.....could it actually happen?.)
-- Despite her best efforts to mix things up, Shii Ann realizes that
the former Chapera alliance remains strong. Convinced that some
castaways are making a big mistake, she predicts many will pay for it.
(Well, it looks like one person on Chapera will pay for
it. Hmmn. Wonder who that could be?)
-- At the reward challenge, one castaway is angered when being called, by the
group, the least deserving person to be an "All-Star."
(Only Rob has turned out to be an entertaining, worthwhile All-Star,
but we'll guess that this is Shii Ann, and this question comes up in
the truth "mask" reward challenge.)
-- Winning the Reward Challenge gives one All-Star the
rare power to decide what the others eat, from a juicy steak to a
small, cold bowl of rice. (See below for
award winner, but this definitely makes it interesting if Rupert
somehow wins.)
-- Shii Ann annoys Alicia, who warns her to watch it, or her camp life
will be pretty unpleasant. (See below for
award winner, but this definitely makes it interesting if Rupert
somehow wins.)
REWARD CHALLENGE: The masks and truth quiz. (Rupert wins?)
The CBS promo states: "For the first time ever, a
reward challenge where everyone could win."
We're not sure what that means, but it might have
something to do with a CBS web site clue that the
reward challenge "gives one All-Star the rare
power to decide what the others eat, from a juicy
steak to a small, cold bowl of rice."
The challenge is something we CAN figure out. It
looks exactly like the Survivor 6: Amazon immunity
challenge where Dave was voted out.
Butch loves his mask too much. Dave looks like he's
humping his.
Amazon episode 8 flashback: The Survivors
would be asked a series of questions based on
Brazilian and Amazonian culture and basic survival
skills. The decorated masks were hanging in front of
a suspended log. Each time a question was answered
correctly, the Survivors would use a machete to cut
through three different ropes that would eventually
release one of the suspended logs, propelling it
through the air to smash one of the masks. Once a
Survivor's mask was destroyed, they would be out of
the game. The person whose mask was left intact
would win.
This time it appears the questions are All-Star
based. It's probably a secret-ballot-type questiing
similar to another Amazon challenge as LekAnaly
suggests on EZBoard.
Amazon episode 10 flashback: The Survivors
received Tree Mail, along with a questionnaire
regarding their tribemates, and were instructed to
answer each question privately, as the answers were
to be used at the upcoming Immunity Challenge. After
answering the questions, the tribe met Jeff, who
explained the rules of the Immunity Challenge. Using
the questions previously given to them, the
castaways had to guess the most common answer among
the tribe to each question posed. Each question's
answer would be the name of one of the tribe
members. First person to answer five questions
correctly would win. The final question asked the
tribe whom they had the biggest crush on. Rob
answered "Heidi" correctly and won the Challenge,
keeping himself safe from the upcoming Tribal
Council vote.
Who are two biggest sluts in Survivor history? Alex
and Jenna both get it right!
One of the questions could be based on a CBS hint:
One castaway is angered when being called, by the
group, the least deserving person to be an
"All-Star."
Looks like that could be one of the questions, and
that makes us think Shii Ann is the person being
referred to (though most fans will say Amber, Rob
and Chapera would not anger her like that.) Plus,
Shii Ann says "stupid players" in the promo, which
could be her reaction to the question and answers.
(Left): Probsty explains the challenge (as Rob's,
Rupert's and Shii Ann's masks are shown). Note three
colors on the striking boards (close-up right). The
Survivors have to cut three ropes of an opponent to
knock their mask into oblivion.
(Left): Answering questions to "biggest idiot on the
tribe?" Rupert and Rob say "Rupert"; Tom answers
himself (He even spelled it right!).
(Right): Shii Ann's mask is about to be crushed.
(probably first)
(Left): A mask that could be Jenna or Amber (blond
hair) gets destroyed
(Right): Alicia grimaces! She has no shot.
So who wins?
-- Rupert won a similar elimination challenge in the
Pearl Islands.
-- Shii Ann and Alicia will be early targets by
everyone. Rob and Amber will be targeted by Shii
Ann, maybe Alicia and maybe others (unless the group
is that afraid of the RobFather's wrath?).
-- Jenna and Rupert will avoid each other. Rob and
Amber will avoid each other. Tom doesn't have any
buddies, but he hasn't won a reward, so maybe
they'll cut him some slack.
Rob cuts off Shii Ann first (with a smile?). Jenna
sitting out and smiling after being eliminated?
We'll go with a Rupert win for now.
IMMUNITY
CHALLENGE: Hold your arm up (Shii Ann wins?)
This over-used Reality TV
challenge is back.
Remember Africa?
Survivor Africa Episode 7 flashback: In this
challenge, each Survivor's wrists were attached to a
rope connected to a bucket of water overhead. Their
arms had to remain above their heads, very still,
because the slightest movement would upset the
bucket above and shower the person with water, thus
eliminating that person from the game. Kelly was the
first to lower her arm, and was disqualified after
14 minutes into the challenge. Kim Johnson was soon
to follow. Sitting over to the side, the two women
wasted no time filling each other in on the tribal
politics that existed in each of their former
tribes. Five hours later it was only Clarence and
Teresa left--literally hanging. At Clarence's
suggestion, the two settled the exhausting showdown
for immunity by playing a simple game of "Rock,
Paper, Scissors." Teresa won, and Clarence conceded
(he got voted off that night and Theresa voted for
Lex ... tee hee!).
Back to another boring season ...
All-Stars!
(Left): Rupert, Shii and Jenna are ready to be
sure!
(Right): Will Rob choke like Famous Sawx Bill
Buckner and Grady Little?
(Left): Can Rupert take anymore?
(Right): Amber or Jenna's hand is getting tired.
(Left): Probst (with immunity
necklace on pole) gets a cold shower after he starts
dreaming of Colby.
(Right): Jenna gets splashed (yes, it's
Jenna, not Amber).
So who wins?
Shii Ann needs immunity most, and poster keith122386 on EZBoard claims that
she gets it.
Seems sketchy second-hand material, but Keith made
this claim in another post
BEFORE the series started.
Women and strong men alike have done well in this
challenge. Theresa won the Africa one, and Mike on
RR/RW Inferno held up his arm for hours and beat
Shane.
Sujohu on EZ points out: Jeffy on the promo states:
"A surprising development threatens the power
players." Shii winning immunity could be the
surprising development that would threaten the power
players.. What better threat could there be than her
winning? This leaves the Chapera alliance
vulnerable!
Rob's fear of getting voted out (that he won't let
other see) probably means that he doesn't win
immunity. Rupert looks like he's on his last legs.
So we'll go with a Shii Ann win for now.
BOOT: Alicia.
It would be easy to expect the
Pagonging of the Mogo Mogos to continue and Shii Ann
to be voted out easily.
However there is so much misdirection this week,
another boot just might happen.
If
Shii Ann doesn't get booted, ALICIA is the
only good possibility. The previews are all over her
this week. The voiceover states "Alicia is on edge."
Though she made a pact with Rob, she seemed to be
the "next to go on Chapera" for the longest time.
(But they never went to tribal council after Rob C, so she's
still around.) Amber calls her a big baby, which she
also stated after Alicia lost to Shii Ann in the log
challenge. (See my
Ep. 8 Insider for the insults and also my
"Things that are worse than losing to Shii Ann in a
challenge" Wouldn't it be funny if Shii's
immunity win helped send Alicia home? Too ironic?
There is plenty of other info to hint at a Chapera
shake-up.
In Kathy's post-game chat, she tells viewers to
check out the mess "next week." She made a similar
hint on the Early Show.
Rupert is said to have to make a "big decision,"
that could get him voted off just like "Pearl
Islands." I don't know what his thinking is. The
reason why he was voted off on All-Stars was because
he was a power-hungry, humongous threat.
CBS' release to media organizations teases a
possible Shii Ann victory in the immunity. Sounds
golden to us, and downright lump of coal for Alicia.
Of
course all this could be misdirection of an easy
boot of SHII ANN. Chapera can hold the
politics and stress of voting out one of their own
by getting rid of the last outsider. The last real Pagonging took place is Survivor Thailand
(which we all would like to forget). Shii Ann's boot
spelled the end of Sook Jai. Her boot could mean the
end of the original Mogo Mogos. Another bad omen:
She calls someone "Stupid players," which has a
direct correlation with the title of the episode:
"Stupid people, stupid, stupid people."
The ONLY thing that could save Shii Ann is an
immunity win. And it looks like she's going to get
it.
PREDICTION: Let's
hope Alicia wags her finger in somebody's
face this week.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Rob and Amber's song?
So Rob and Amber are love
muffins. What should their song be? Or how
about some other songs for this group of
Survivors.
1) Move bit*ch, get out of the
way!
2) That's what friends are for (Sung by biggest
pal Lex van den Berge)
3) Bloodhound Gang -- Bad Touch ("You and me ain't
nothing but mammals so let's do it like they do on
the Discovery Channel.")
4) (Not) Like a Virgin
5) RobFather's delight
6) Tom's Diner (Redneck remix).
7) Pop (What Rupert's chances of winning this game
will do if he sticks with Rob and Amber)
8) We are the champions (Because Rob or Amber WILL
be)
9) Scrubs (What most of the people left are).
10) I'm so excited (for the Friends finale).
