Rupert Boneham, age 39, Indianapolis, IN - troubled teen mentor

What can you say about Rupert Boneham? He breezed into Season 7, Pearl Islands like it was custom made just for him and quickly became one of the most famous, and well loved Survivors ever. Not much is known about what Rupert has been up to since S7 finished up, although it has been a hot topic for speculation. Therefore, I will focus more on Rupert, the man. For ten episodes last season, Rupert was the face of Survivor - Pearl Islands. He could fish, sew, spin tales with the best of them and rally "his" troops. Unfortunately for Rupert, and all his loyal fans, he was much too strong and too big a threat and was voted out on Day 27.

Who can ever forget Rupert in the first episode, already in pirate mode, after being thrown overboard with only the clothes on his back, stealing the ladies' shoes from the Morgan tribe to bargain with in the city. He then proved to America that a big, tough guy, CAN sew, and look good in a skirt. And, what other mere man would be able to dive in the water and find a missing spear head? I think most of Amercia was rooting for Rupert to pop JFP the night after Jon gave him his first vote.

Rupert was born in Detroit and moved with his parents at a young age to Indiana where he eventually attended Haworth High School in Kokomo. He then moved to Texas to study nursing at Cisco Junior College and San Angelo University. Boneham currently resides in Indianapolis where he works as a mentor for troubled teens. Previous work experience includes gravedigger and bartender. Rupert is married to his wife, Laura, with whom he has a 4 year old daughter, Raya
